Description
This plugin adds German language processing to SearchWP. When stemming is enabled in the main SearchWP settings, it applies German stemming rather than the default English stemming, so searches match different forms of the same German word. It is intended for German-language WordPress sites.
Key Features
- German keyword stemming – SearchWP applies German stemming instead of the default English stemming when the stemming option is enabled.
- Matches word forms – Searches match different forms of a German word, so a query for one form can also find its other forms.
- Deprecated and bundled – The extension is deprecated as of SearchWP 3.1 because the functionality has been bundled into SearchWP itself.
Who Is It For
It is for owners of German-language WordPress sites who use SearchWP and want search results to account for German word forms. It suits sites where visitors search in German and the default English stemming does not fit.
