ThemeForWP respects intellectual property rights and responds to notices of alleged copyright infringement in line with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar laws. Most of the products we distribute are licensed under the GPL, but if you believe content on our Site infringes your copyright or trademark, please let us know.
How to submit a notice
Send your notice by email to [email protected] with the subject line “DMCA Notice”. Please include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed;
- the URL(s) on our Site of the material you want removed;
- your name, address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
We review valid notices promptly, usually within 2 business days, and remove or disable access to the material where appropriate. Incomplete notices may delay our response.
Counter-notice
If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address that includes your signature, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief it was removed by mistake, and your name, address and telephone number with consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court.
Repeat infringers
We may suspend or close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.
Misrepresentation
Please note that knowingly making false claims in a notice or counter-notice may make you liable for damages.
