Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of https://www.themeforwp.com (the “Site”), operated by ThemeForWP (“we”, “us”). By creating an account, signing in (including with Google) or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About our products

The Site distributes WordPress themes and plugins that are licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2 or later. ThemeForWP is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the original developers of these products. All trademarks and product names belong to their respective owners.

  • Products are provided as the original GPL-licensed files. They do not include the original developer’s license keys, premium support, or automatic updates from the developer.
  • We add updated versions to the Site as they become available to us, but we do not guarantee how quickly or how often updates are released.
  • Some features that depend on the original developer’s servers (for example cloud services, license activation or official demo import) may not work.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address and keep your login details secure. An account may be created for you automatically at checkout using the email you enter.
  • You may sign in with Google; in that case your Google account is linked to your ThemeForWP account.
  • Your account is for your personal or business use only. You may not share, resell or give others access to your account.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Purchases and VIP membership

  • Single products are purchased individually and can be downloaded from your account.
  • VIP plans give access to downloads from the whole catalog for the plan period: Monthly (30 days), Yearly (365 days) or Lifetime (for as long as the Site operates). VIP plans are one-time payments and do not renew automatically.
  • VIP plans include a daily download limit shown on the Pricing page.
  • Prices are shown in US dollars. Payments are processed by PayPal. Coupons are valid only as stated and cannot be combined unless stated otherwise.

4. Refunds

All products are digital goods that are delivered instantly, so all sales are final and we do not offer refunds once an order has been delivered. The only exception is a product that cannot be downloaded: if we cannot provide a working download, we will refund that product. See our Refund Policy for details.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use bots, scripts or scrapers to download files in bulk or bypass download limits.
  • Share your account or redistribute files as a competing download service.
  • Attempt to breach the security of the Site or interfere with its operation.
  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms, without refund where the breach is serious.

6. Use of downloaded files

Your use of each theme or plugin is governed by the GPL. Under the GPL you may use, study, modify and redistribute the code. The GPL does not grant rights to trademarks, brand names or non-GPL assets (such as some images, fonts or stock media) that may be bundled with a product; you are responsible for your use of those.

7. Disclaimer

Products are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, as stated in the GPL. We do not guarantee that any product will be error-free, secure or compatible with your site. Always back up your website before installing or updating themes and plugins.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThemeForWP is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including loss of data, revenue or profits, arising from your use of the Site or its products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Copyright concerns

If you believe content on the Site infringes your rights, contact us at [email protected] with the details and we will review and respond promptly.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information, including data received through Google Sign-In.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
