Description

SupportCandy Timer is an add-on for the SupportCandy helpdesk plugin that adds time tracking inside individual tickets. Agents can run a timer while working, stop it and save a description, or add a manual time log. The recorded time can be shown in ticket lists, email notifications, and the customer widget.

Key Features

  • Start, Pause, Stop Timers – Agents can run a timer on a ticket while they work, pausing and stopping it as needed.
  • Manual Time Entries – Besides using the timer, an agent can record time by hand with a description.
  • Independent Agent Timers – Each agent's timer runs separately, so several agents can track time on the same ticket at once.
  • Edit Existing Time Logs – An agent can view and change time logs already recorded on the ticket.
  • Customer Widget Total – The customer widget on a ticket screen shows the total time spent across all of that customer's tickets.
  • Time in Ticket List – The total time spent can be added as a column in the ticket list table.
  • Email Notification Macros – Timer logs and time spent can be inserted into a ticket's email notifications using macros.
  • Auto-Start and Auto-Stop – Admins can choose to start the timer automatically when a new ticket is added and stop active timers when a ticket is closed.

Who Is It For

This add-on is for support teams already using the SupportCandy helpdesk plugin who need to record how long agents spend on tickets, for example to bill customers based on time spent. It also suits teams that want to give customers visibility of time logged on their tickets.
