Gravity Perks – Gravity Forms Word Count

Gravity Forms Word Count is a WordPress plugin that adds word counting and word limit enforcement to Gravity Forms. It works on Single Line Text, Paragraph, Post Body, and Post Excerpt fields, letting you set a minimum and maximum number of words. Submissions that fall outside the set range are returned with a validation error.

Key Features

• Minimum and maximum limits – You can set both a minimum and a maximum word count on a field, and submissions outside that range are rejected with a validation error.
• Supported field types – Word limits can be applied to Single Line Text, Paragraph, Post Body, and Post Excerpt fields.
• Maximum enforced while typing – Once the maximum is reached, the plugin stops the user from adding more spaces, and pasting extra words does not get around the limit.
• Validation on submission – If the JavaScript enforcement is bypassed, the form still throws a validation error when submitted.
• Pay Per Word integration – It integrates with Gravity Forms Pay Per Word so you can combine word count limits with charging per word.
• Automatic updates – Updates and new features are delivered directly in your WordPress dashboard.

Who Is It For

This plugin is for WordPress site owners and form builders using Gravity Forms who need to control response length, such as for job applications, surveys, nomination forms, or support tickets.
