Description
SearchWP EDD Integration is a WordPress plugin that links SearchWP with Easy Digital Downloads. It improves product search accuracy by indexing EDD-specific data, including download descriptions, categories, tags, and custom fields, so shoppers get more relevant results.
Key Features
- SearchWP EDD Connection – The plugin connects SearchWP with Easy Digital Downloads so the two work together for product search.
- EDD Data Indexing – It indexes data specific to Easy Digital Downloads rather than treating products as generic content.
- Download Descriptions Indexed – Download descriptions are included in the search index, so wording from a product's description can match a shopper's query.
- Categories and Tags Indexed – EDD categories and tags are indexed as well, letting searches match products by how they are grouped or labeled.
- Custom Fields Indexed – Custom fields attached to downloads are indexed, so extra product data can contribute to search matches.
- Relevant Search Results – Because more EDD-specific data is indexed, the search returns results that better fit what the shopper is looking for.
Who Is It For
This plugin is for WordPress site owners running Easy Digital Downloads stores who already use SearchWP and want product searches to draw on EDD-specific content. It suits shops that need searches to match download descriptions, categories, tags, and custom fields.
