Description
SupportCandy Private Credentials is an add-on for SupportCandy that gives customers a way to hand over sensitive information inside a ticket instead of a normal reply. The details are kept encrypted in the database, and agents see or change them only if their role allows it.
Key Features
- Private Credentials Widget – A dedicated widget appears on the individual ticket page where the ticket creator can add, edit, or remove credentials.
- Encrypted Storage – Credential details are saved in encrypted form in the database rather than as plain text.
- Customer Management – The person who opened the ticket can add, change, or delete the credentials themselves.
- Agent Capabilities – Agents with the right capability can view, add, modify, or delete the stored credentials.
- View Permission – A separate capability controls which agents are allowed to read the private credentials.
- Modify Permission – Another capability decides which agents may add or edit credentials.
- Delete Permission – Deleting credentials is limited to agents granted that specific capability.
- Ticket Scope Rules – Permissions can be limited by ticket assignment, covering unassigned tickets, tickets assigned to the agent, or tickets assigned to others.
Who Is It For
This add-on suits WordPress support teams that regularly receive sensitive access details from customers, such as web development agencies asking for cPanel, administrative, or FTP information. It is aimed at businesses that want those details kept out of ordinary ticket replies and limited to selected agents.
