Description
Amazon S3 Storage for WooCommerce connects your store to Amazon S3 or Cloudflare R2 and serves downloadable product files from there instead of your web server. Customers receive signed, time-limited download links, and files can be offloaded to your bucket in the background. It extends WooCommerce's existing downloadable-products system rather than replacing it.
Key Features
- Cloud storage delivery – Your downloadable files are hosted in Amazon S3 or Cloudflare R2 and delivered to customers from that cloud storage.
- Signed time-limited URLs – Each download uses a cryptographically signed link that expires after a period you configure, so links cannot be freely shared.
- Any file size – Because the browser is redirected to the cloud, large files download without hitting PHP memory or timeout limits.
- Background file offload – New or imported files are uploaded to your bucket asynchronously through Action Scheduler, keeping the admin responsive.
- Upload status per file – You can see the upload status of each file directly inside the product editor.
- Shortcode for cloud files – The [amazon_s3] shortcode places a secure download link in any post, page, email, or block template.
- Encrypted credentials – Your storage credentials are stored encrypted, or you can define them as WordPress constants instead.
- WooCommerce download settings kept – WooCommerce's standard download permissions, expiry, and limit settings continue to apply to offloaded files.
Who Is It For
This plugin is for WooCommerce store owners who sell downloadable products such as video courses, photo archives, or software releases, and who need large files delivered reliably without straining their web server. It also suits stores already using Amazon S3 or Cloudflare R2 that want WooCommerce downloads served from that storage.
