Description
Exit Intent Popups is an extension for Popup Maker that detects when a visitor is about to leave your site and opens a popup at that moment. You can use it to show offers, email signup forms, or messages aimed at keeping abandoning visitors. It also offers a hard exit mode that interrupts users with a confirmation prompt before they leave.
Key Features
- Soft Exit Detection – The plugin watches for the moment a visitor's cursor moves out of the top of the page and shows a popup then.
- Hard Exit Prevention – When someone refreshes, uses the back button, or closes the tab, they are stopped by a customizable confirmation message, and staying shows the popup.
- Adjustable Sensitivity – You can tune several sensitivity settings to control when the exit popup fires.
- False Positive Detection – Accidental cursor movement outside the page is detected so the popup does not trigger by mistake.
- Custom Cookie Triggers – Cookies can be set to fire on popup open, on close, or through a manual JavaScript event.
- Combined Exit Modes – Soft and hard exit modes can run together, with whichever triggers first disabling the other.
- Mobile Exit Methods – On devices without a mouse, the plugin can react to fast scrolling back to the top, a time delay, tab or app switching, or a touch on a link.
- Targeted Offers – Popups can be aimed at specific visitors using Popup Maker's targeting conditions, such as page content or referring search engine.
