Description
GeoDirectory Ajax Duplicate Alert is an add-on for GeoDirectory that looks for possible duplicate listings as users submit new entries. It compares several fields of the new listing against entries already in the database and shows a warning notice when it finds a match.
Key Features
- Real-time duplicate checking – New listings are compared against existing database entries while the user is still submitting them.
- Warning notice – When a match is found, the user sees a notice that they are about to add a duplicate.
- Selectable check fields – You choose which fields take part in the duplicate check by enabling or disabling each one.
- Zip or post code check – Zip and post code values can be checked for matches with existing listings.
- Phone and email check – Phone numbers and email addresses can also be compared against entries already stored.
- Custom error messages – Each field can have its own warning text, or fall back to a general message.
Who Is It For
This add-on is for directory site owners running GeoDirectory who want to stop duplicate listings from being created. It suits sites where visitors submit their own entries and where title, address, phone, or email matches need to be caught during submission.
