Description
FacetWP – Color is an add-on for FacetWP that introduces a Color facet type for search and filter interfaces. It builds clickable rectangular color swatches from color values in the Data source field, so visitors can filter posts or products by color visually. Selecting multiple swatches narrows or widens results depending on the Facet logic setting, and clicking a selected swatch again clears that choice.
Key Features
- Color facet type – The add-on adds a Color facet type that lets users filter posts or products by color.
- Clickable color swatches – The facet renders clickable rectangular swatches from the color values supplied in the Data source field.
- Multiple selection logic – Depending on the Facet logic setting, choosing several swatches either narrows or widens the results shown.
- Click to reset – Clicking an already selected color swatch a second time removes that selection.
- ACF Color Picker support – With Advanced Custom Fields, a Color Picker field can supply the color values, with transparency either disabled or enabled.
- Accepts color keywords – Valid color values include existing color keywords such as blue, and keywords never contain spaces.
- Hex and RGB values – The facet also accepts hex values, including 3-digit and 8-digit forms, as well as rgb and rgba values.
Who Is It For
This add-on is for site owners and developers already using FacetWP who want visitors to filter posts or products by color. It suits shops and content sites where color is a meaningful attribute, including WooCommerce stores using product attributes and sites using Advanced Custom Fields.
