Description
This extension connects your Easy Digital Downloads store with Dropbox so product files live in your Dropbox account rather than on your web host. You can pick existing files or upload new ones from the download edit screen, and customers still receive unique, expiring download links.
Key Features
- Files stored off-server – Your digital products are kept in Dropbox while your website stays on your web server, so the two are managed separately.
- Browse and insert files – The standard media popup lets you browse, select, and insert files from Dropbox into a download product.
- Upload from edit screen – You can upload new product files to Dropbox directly from the download edit screen.
- Unique expiring links – Easy Digital Downloads creates a unique download link for each customer with configurable expiration, and this continues to work with Dropbox.
- Large file support – Serving files from Dropbox makes it easier to offer large product files that often cause problems when uploaded to a site's media library.
- Force download option – A setting lets you force files to be downloaded rather than opened in the browser.
Who Is It For
This plugin is for store owners already using Easy Digital Downloads who want to host and deliver their product files from Dropbox instead of their web server. It suits shops with large files or limited hosting storage that still need secure, expiring download links for customers.
