Description
FacetWP – Map Facet is a WordPress plugin that adds interactive map filtering to your site. It displays search results on Google Maps with marker clustering, and lets users filter content by map viewport. This combines location-based browsing with FacetWP faceted search.
Key Features
- Interactive map filtering – Users can filter content by interacting with the map, so results update based on the visible area.
- Google Maps display – Search results are shown as markers on Google Maps, giving a visual overview of locations.
- Marker clustering – When many results are close together, markers are grouped into clusters to keep the map readable.
- Viewport-based filtering – Users can narrow results by adjusting the map viewport, so only items in the visible area are shown.
- Faceted search integration – The map works alongside FacetWP's faceted search, letting visitors combine location with other filters.
Who Is It For
This plugin is for WordPress site owners who want to add location-based filtering to their content. It suits directory, listing, or any site where visitors need to browse items on a map and refine results by area.
