Description

Gravity Perks – Gravity Forms Placeholder is a WordPress plugin that lets you add HTML5 placeholder text to Gravity Forms fields. Placeholders are short hints shown inside inputs and textareas that help users enter the right data, and they disappear once typing begins. The plugin is deprecated because Gravity Forms now builds this in, except for List fields.

Key Features

  • HTML5 placeholders – You can add HTML5 placeholder hints to your Gravity Form fields so short guidance appears inside the input.
  • Inline field hints – Placeholders display short hints inline in form inputs and textareas to help users fill fields with correct data.
  • Per-field placeholder setting – A new Placeholder setting appears below the Field Label setting for supported field types on all forms.
  • Multi-input placeholders – For multi-input fields such as Name and Address, you can set a separate placeholder for each input.
  • Native browser support – Browsers that support placeholders render them natively, so no special scripts are needed.
  • List field support – The perk remains useful only if you need placeholder support for List fields, since Gravity Forms now includes the feature otherwise.

Who Is It For

This plugin is for WordPress site owners and form builders who use Gravity Forms and want to add placeholder hints to fields that lack native placeholder support, particularly List fields. Because the perk is deprecated, it mainly suits those who still need that specific List field capability.
