Description

This plugin validates Gravity Forms entries against the WordPress Disallowed Comment Keys list, so blocked words, phrases, or IPs stop a submission. You can apply the check to one field, several fields, or every field in a form. When a value fails, the user sees an error saying the field contains disallowed words.

Key Features

  • Disallowed Comment Keys validation – Field values are checked against the same WordPress Disallowed Comment Keys list used for comments, so one blocklist covers both.
  • Blocked words and IPs – Submissions containing blocked words, phrases, or IP addresses are prevented from going through.
  • Field or form scope – You decide whether the check runs on a single field, a selection of fields, or all fields in the form.
  • Shared comment blocklist – The same list you maintain for comments is reused for form validation, so there is no second list to keep.
  • Silent honeypot rejection – A honeypot option rejects a blocked entry without telling the user it was blocked.
  • IP range blocking – Besides single addresses, whole IP ranges can be blocked using CIDR notation.
  • Error message shown – When a field fails the check, the end user is told the field contains disallowed words.

Who Is It For

Site owners and developers running Gravity Forms who want to cut spam and keep unwanted wording, addresses, or IPs out of their form entries. It suits anyone already using WordPress comment moderation settings and wanting forms to follow the same rules.
