Description
Embeddable Ratings Badge is a GeoDirectory addon that generates embeddable rating badges for listed businesses. Listing owners can build a widget to display their live ratings from your directory on external sites, acting as social proof for visitors. Admins control who can build embed code and which design settings users may change.
Key Features
- Live Rating Widget – Listing owners can place a widget on their own site that shows their current ratings pulled from your directory.
- Embed Access Control – You decide whether everyone, logged-in users, or only listing owners may generate embed code.
- Lockable Design Settings – The admin can lock any design option or leave it open for the user to adjust.
- User Styling – Users can style the widget so it fits the look of their own website.
- Font Awesome Detection – The script checks whether the embedding site loads Font Awesome and, if it does, applies your exact rating styles.
- HTML Star Fallback – When Font Awesome is not found, the badge falls back to a lightweight HTML star icon.
- CDN Option – A CDN option reduces load on your server and serves the widget quickly, and it requires that you have use of a CDN.
- Branding Options – You can add a branding image or branding text so the badge carries your identity.
Who Is It For
This addon is for GeoDirectory directory owners who want their listed businesses to display live ratings elsewhere on the web. It suits directory operators who want to control how those embeds look and who is allowed to create them.
