Description
Weta is a WordPress theme by ElmaStudio made for magazines, blogs and WooCommerce shops. It pairs a minimal, content-focused design with a custom front page built from Weta's own widgets, and it can also be used as a blog-only theme.
Key Features
- Custom Front Page Widgets – The front page is assembled from Weta's own widgets, so you decide which sections appear and in what order.
- Featured Post Sliders – You can highlight selected posts in sliders, and more than one slider can be placed across the widget areas.
- WooCommerce Shop Support – The theme works with WooCommerce, so a shop can sit alongside the magazine or blog content.
- Shop Product Widgets – WooCommerce product widgets can be placed on the front page to display items from your shop.
- Flexible Front Page Areas – You choose among several front page widget areas, including single-column layouts and layouts with a left- or right-aligned sidebar.
- Theme Options in Customizer – Settings such as fixing the main menu, adding a small logo icon or showing extra shop elements in the header are handled in the customizer.
- Video Post Format – Video posts are marked with a small play icon on their featured images.
- Subscribe Widget Area – A dedicated widget area lets you place the Jetpack Subscription widget to show a subscribe form in a light box.
Who Is It For
Weta suits bloggers, online magazine publishers and small shop owners who want a minimal, content-first site. It can be used as a magazine and shop combination, as a shop theme on its own, or simply as a blog with or without a sidebar.
