Description
The Downloading Page extension for Download Monitor makes downloads open on their own page instead of starting immediately. That page is a normal WordPress page, so you can put ads, videos, or social media links on it while the download begins. The download starts on its own after a few seconds, and a shortcode is included for a manual download link.
Key Features
- Separate download page – Downloads are served from a dedicated page rather than directly from the file link.
- Show ads while waiting – You can display advertisements on the page while visitors wait for their download to begin.
- Social profile links – The page can include links to your social media profiles.
- Automatic download start – The download begins by itself after a few seconds on the page.
- Manual download shortcode – A shortcode is provided that outputs a manual download link as a fallback.
- Overridable template file – The extension includes a template file you can override to change the full output of the manual download shortcode.
Who Is It For
This extension is for WordPress site owners who use Download Monitor and want more from the moment a download is requested, such as showing ads, instructions, or social links. It suits anyone generating leads, selling digital products, or protecting digital files against unauthorized downloads.
