Easy Digital Downloads Manual Purchases

Easy Digital Downloads Manual Purchases was an extension that let store administrators create orders manually from the admin panel. It was used for phone orders, custom deals, offline payments, and complimentary product grants. As of EDD 3.0, the feature is built into EDD itself, so the extension is no longer needed and is deactivated automatically.

Key Features

• Admin order creation – Store administrators can create orders directly from the WordPress admin panel.
• Offline and phone orders – It supports recording orders taken in person or over the phone.
• Complimentary product grants – It can be used to give a free copy of a product for promotional or support reasons.
• Built into EDD 3.0 – Starting with EDD 3.0, manual order creation is part of EDD itself and the extension is no longer required.
• Automatic deactivation – When you update to EDD 3.0 or later, the extension is turned off automatically and cannot be activated again.

Who Is It For

This extension was intended for Easy Digital Downloads store owners who needed to record orders placed outside the standard checkout, such as phone or in-person sales, custom deals, or free product grants. It is no longer necessary for stores running EDD 3.0 or later, since that functionality is now included in EDD.
