SearchWP Shortcodes

SearchWP Shortcodes is a WordPress plugin that adds search forms and search results to your site through shortcodes you paste into the editor. Each form can be connected to a specific SearchWP engine, so different pages or content areas can use their own search setup. Shortcodes also cover results output such as excerpts, links, totals, and pagination.

Key Features

• Copy-and-Paste Shortcodes – You add search forms and results by pasting shortcodes into the WordPress editor instead of editing theme files.
• Search Form Shortcodes – Dedicated shortcodes let you drop a search form into any page or content area of your site.
• Search Results Shortcodes – Shortcodes control what each result shows, including excerpts, links, and the total number of results.
• Results Pagination – Pagination shortcodes let you organize and display search results across multiple pages.
• Connect Any Search Engine – A shortcode form can be tied to any search engine you have already built, so its indexing and weighting settings apply.
• Live Ajax Search – Embedded search forms can show matching results in real time as the visitor types.
• No Theme Edits – You can add advanced search features without touching WordPress themes or templates.
• One-Click Install – The Shortcodes extension is activated directly from the SearchWP interface.

Who Is It For

This plugin suits WordPress site owners, marketers, and developers who want to place search forms and results in specific parts of a site without editing theme templates. It is aimed at anyone already using SearchWP who wants shortcode-based control over where search appears and which engine powers it.
