Description
This plugin is an addon for Download Monitor that connects your Google Drive account as a file storage backend. It detects your Google Drive URLs and serves those files through your existing Download Monitor setup. You can move your file library off your own server while keeping downloads going through Download Monitor.
Key Features
- Google Drive as storage – Files you keep in Google Drive can be used as Download Monitor files, so your library does not have to live on your own server.
- Automatic URL detection – The extension recognizes your Google Drive URLs and connects them to your Download Monitor setup without manual configuration.
- Direct downloads – You paste the normal Google Drive sharing URL and the visitor downloads the file through Download Monitor rather than through Google Drive.
- Download tracking – You can see which customers viewed and downloaded each file you sent them.
- Post-send changes – You can edit what you have shared after it has already been sent out.
- Secure data room – You can build a protected space for documents and see what each user opens or downloads inside it.
- Access control – You decide who is allowed to reach your documents, and you can change that at any time.
- Share with non-Google users – People without a Google account can still receive the documents you share.
Who Is It For
It suits WordPress site owners and teams who already use Download Monitor and want to serve their downloadable files from Google Drive rather than their own hosting. It is aimed at people who need to track who downloads their files and control access to shared documents.
